Mistake of modern astrologers: 9th is not father. 10th is father. Explanation:
1st=me, its opposite- 7th=my partner/wife
2nd=my security, 8th=my death
3rd=my fighting/attacking, its opposite 9th=religion
4th=mother/ peace, 10th=father/work
5th=personal achievement, 11th= public achievement.
6th=sin/attachment, 12th=liberation/destruction.
9th is spirituality- most important house in horoscope as much as - Krishna says in Gita= his advent is only for purpose of protection of dharma which is the 9th house.
if I have -10th lord going to 9th, it means for my spirituality- father suffers as 9th is 12th from 10th. if 4th lord goes to 9th - for my spirituality mother suffers. if 2nd lord goes to 9th- for my spirituality- money is destroyed. Such people - disown their business. eg: Henry Fonda- although could have produced after academy award nominated -12 angry men, he chose to act in part time(he says- he was jobless). But that was period of his spirituality.
during his period of 11th in 9th- his film was- "once upon a time in the west".
A strong 9th can break other bad influences in horoscope. Eg: Enrico Fermi had Mars and Mercury iin 7th from Moon+Ascendant. This is a terrible "Marana Karaka Sthana"- wherein- whatever a person does would be for badness for others. Yet- his strong - 9th and 10th lord in 9th constituting Dharma Karma yoga and Lakshmi Yoga- virtually showed no significance of Marana Karaka sthana. He did highest service to the world. Albert Einstein, Harry Truman had strong Dharma Karma yoga which are of topmost significance to this world(for protection of Dharma- highest raja yoga in astrology- though they were money wise poor).
Also note that 60%+ people in this world have bad horoscope with atleast one planet in marana karaka. Best example of most intense marana karaka is Adolf Hitler- whose Rahu entered 9th when he became chancellor of Germany, whose kara was marana karaka aspecting Rahu- and its karaka- marana karaka and again joining marana karaka. Hitler caused max destruction.
Fermi- made first nuclear reactor in his good Venus period- but died in middle of Mars period which was a cancelled marana karaka.
Again when mars is in 7th and also its powerhouse aries- it cannot be marana karaka. Eg: Clint Eastwood- it acts more like Pancha Mahapurusha yoga- mars in kendra in powerhouse.
